Unbroken Spring

I sever the line,
buoyed,
feeling
the anchor of this year
disappear
into the depths
below.

Lighter already!

Riding a current
of my own making,
I fill my sails
with the nourishing wind
of books,
sleep,
and sunshine.

I breathe.
I write.
I heal.

The horizon beckons.

This picture is breathtaking, as are your words. I love the setting sail analogy and the “nourishing wind of books, sleep, and sunshine”. This line resonates 100% with me. Thank you for putting into words how I felt today. Happy break to you.
