Amy Ellerman is an Instructional Coach in Golden, Colorado. She is passionate about teaching and learning in a workshop model—any content, but if she’s being honest, Writing Workshop will always be her favorite. Exploring authentic and innovative models of professional learning is another area of intense study. Collaborating with teachers and students to grow and support communities of learners of all ages—because everyone deserves to feel so invested in their own learning that they find themselves running to school.
A Past President of CCIRA, Amy served as Conference Chair for the 2018 CCIRA Conference (Literacy Renaissance: Invention, Intention, and Close Study). Amy is a Teacher Consultant with Colorado Writing Project, and she is a co-author on the team at Two Writing Teachers Blog. Amy earned her MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults at Vermont College of Fine Arts in July 2022.
