Amy Ellerman is an Instructional Coach at Maple Grove Elementary in Golden, Colorado. She is passionate about teaching and learning in a workshop model—any content, but if she’s being honest, Writing Workshop will always be her favorite. Exploring authentic and innovative models of professional learning is another area of intense study. Collaborating with teachers and students to grow and support communities of learners of all ages—because everyone deserves to feel so invested in their own learning that they find themselves running to school.
Amy chaired the 2018 CCIRA Conference (Literacy Renaissance: Invention, Intention, and Close Study) and is currently Immediate Past President of CCIRA. This past summer she was thrilled to join Colorado Writing Project as a Teacher Consultant. Another exciting professional milestone: Amy recently joined the team at Two Writing Teachers Blog as a contributing writer.
