Thank you-s:
Appreciation all around.
Overwhelmed,
Yet overwhelmingly positive.
Kids and adults
Seeking connection
Across social distance.
This might not be coaching,
But I think it's helping. . .
(And everyone helping is what we need right now.)
We invite you to join us every day in the month of March for the Slice of Life Story Challenge on Two Writing Teachers Blog.
Thanks, Kathleen! I’m so impressed with the way teachers jumped in today to make it work. Everyone was so gracious and generous in the face of a stressful situation. ❤️
What a perfect zoom in on a small moment for the current transition. For me, it’s like looking ahead at myself a week from now. For this week, our official spring break, I’m forcing myself to unwind. The last nine weeks of the school year—whatever that looks like—are going to demand a great deal. I want to be ready.
Definitely—power down and enjoy your spring break. There’s plenty of time to figure it out next week, and families will be understanding as you get rolling.
Your poem matched the pace of the day. My favorite line was “Here you go – / Try this -” And right now, that IS coaching. Back and forth, back and forth. It was a better day than I think any of us expected, and I love that you were able to capture that here!
I’m grateful to all those who are sharing about distance learning. There are so many different ways that districts are dealing with this. I loved the positive tone of your poem!
Love your poem! So true. Connection and helping is what we need right now.

There is a lot of pinging and binging. Love how the sounds accompany the star of your poem–adults and kids connecting.

This was “so me” yesterday. I’m learning fast, facing some struggles, but enjoying thinking and learning about a new way to do things.
