What a perfect zoom in on a small moment for the current transition. For me, it’s like looking ahead at myself a week from now. For this week, our official spring break, I’m forcing myself to unwind. The last nine weeks of the school year—whatever that looks like—are going to demand a great deal. I want to be ready.
Definitely—power down and enjoy your spring break. There’s plenty of time to figure it out next week, and families will be understanding as you get rolling.
Your poem matched the pace of the day. My favorite line was “Here you go – / Try this -” And right now, that IS coaching. Back and forth, back and forth. It was a better day than I think any of us expected, and I love that you were able to capture that here!
I’m grateful to all those who are sharing about distance learning. There are so many different ways that districts are dealing with this. I loved the positive tone of your poem!

This was “so me” yesterday. I’m learning fast, facing some struggles, but enjoying thinking and learning about a new way to do things.
